On behalf of the Programme Committee, we invite you to submit your workshop proposal for the 18th edition of the European Robotics Forum, to be held from 2-4 March 2027 in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Introduction

The European Robotics Forum is the most influential meeting of the European robotics community, bringing together academia, industry, policymakers, investors and wider society. It aims to foster communication, knowledge transfer and collaboration across the full robotics value chain, spanning enabling technologies, real‑world applications and systemic impact. ERF provides a forum to examine recent advances and future directions in robotics in the context of industrial adoption, public services, regulation, ethics and societal outcomes, alongside questions of finance, investment and business models. Robotics is addressed in its broadest sense, from foundational disciplines such as mechatronics, control, perception and cognition, to emerging themes including artificial intelligence, data, skills and education, and the policy frameworks required to support responsible and scalable deployment.

Based on feedback from previous ERFs, we have revised the programme generation concept in 2025 and 2026 and further fine-tuned the process for ERF2027. Therefore, it’s important to read the following information carefully as it has changed from previous years.

With this call, we focus on the revised concept for the “classical”  ERF Workshops.

Specific calls for the Industrial Scientific track, resulting in scientific publications and other elements such as awards, will be published separately.
